The Brief
- Great Place To Work has released its 2026 recognition for large and mid-size employers, with companies grouped into recognition bands.
- Both categories have a Top 10 group, reproduced below; the wider listing also recognises other employers.
- The names appear alphabetically within their groups. Their order does not indicate individual ranks.
- The recognition gives the companies a moment to celebrate and an opportunity to share the workplace practices behind it.
Accenture, Reliance Retail, Marriott and Hilton are among the large employers in Great Place To Work’s India’s Best Workplaces for Women 2026 listing. Athulya Assisted Living, Cloudera, Reflections Info Systems and VAHDAM India feature in the mid-size Top 10.
The names bring together very different working environments. A conversation about women’s careers can begin in a hotel, a retail operation or an assisted-living service as readily as in a technology office. That breadth gives this year’s recognition interest beyond the familiar corporate names.
The Top 10 large organisations
Great Place To Work defines this category as organisations with at least 1,000 employees. Its complete Top 10 group is:
Organisation
Accenture Solutions Private Limited
Edelweiss Life Insurance
H & R Block (India) Private Limited
Harrisons Malayalam Limited
Hilton
Marriott Hotels India Private Limited
Midland Credit Management India Private Limited (Encore Capital Group)
Reliance Retail Limited
Sagility India Limited
Synchrony International Services Private Limited
Names follow the organiser’s alphabetical presentation, not positions one to ten.
The Top 10 mid-size organisations
The mid-size category covers organisations with 100–999 employees. Its complete Top 10 group is:
Organisation
Athulya Assisted Living Private Limited
Cloudera Data Platform India Private Limited
Machan Resorts LLP
NIA Institutions
Probus Insurance Broker Private Limited
Pro-Vigil Inc (Virtual Guard Services Private Limited)
Reflections Info Systems Private Limited
SAVENCIA
Tablespace Technologies Limited
VAHDAM India
These names also follow the organiser’s alphabetical presentation, without individual ranks.
The two groups deserve to be read alongside each other. The mid-size names widen the conversation about where women might find fulfilling work. They also give readers a reason to look beyond the employers whose recruitment campaigns they already know.
For a woman weighing an opportunity, the next step is to examine the role itself: what she would earn, who would manage her and whether she could see a route to greater responsibility. The work of helping women stay in employment carries on after recruitment.
Other names in India’s Best Workplaces for Women 2026
The organiser’s Top 50 band also includes Cisco, HDFC Life, Salesforce, Schneider Electric India and Capgemini among large employers. HCL Healthcare, Randstad India, WeWork India, Pearl Academy and Soliton Technologies appear in the mid-size Top 50 band.
These are selected additional names, rather than the complete recognition list. Readers can browse all the organisations and their stated bands on Great Place To Work’s official 2026 page.
How Great Place To Work selects the organisations
The organiser uses anonymous employee surveys and assesses workplace practices. Eligibility includes at least 10% women employees and 70% positive feedback from women. It also considers gender parity in experience and representation.
This is a recognition programme covering participating employers. We should understand it within that scope, rather than as an exhaustive comparison of every workplace in India.
The Change Ahead
Congratulations to all the organisations recognised, and to the people doing the daily work behind those results. The names give us a starting point for the even more important questions coming up. Are we paying women fairly? Are we trusting them with important work? And are we considering them for advancement without their gender narrowing the possibilities?
Those stories need detail. A fairer promotion process, a returner whose experience was properly valued, or a shift arrangement that helped someone keep her job can give other employers something useful to adopt. The strongest accounts will include women’s own perspectives, shared with their consent.
For the companies celebrating this year, that is an opportunity to let the work speak. Women deserve to recognise the promise of inclusion in an ordinary working day.
Editorial note and source
This report is based on Great Place To Work India’s published 2026 listing and methodology. The two Top 10 groups are reproduced in full; additional names are explicitly identified as selections from the wider list. Change in Content has not independently audited the employers. The closing perspective is editorial commentary, and no individual company is being accused of tokenism or unfair practices.
